Beza.net has a zero tolerance spam policy of anyone using Beza.net
services to send out unsolicited
commercial email and unsolicited bulk email (commonly referred to as
Spam).
If you have
received unwanted, unsolicited email sent via Beza.Net system
or purporting to be sent via Beza.net, please report it
to our abuse dept by forwarding the original message w/ full headers to abuse@beza.net
Beza.net extends a number of services to customers who wish to send permission-based emails
following the strictest guidelines. One of the services offered
by Beza.net is the eMail Marketing Solution (eMS),
which allows our customers to send permission-based personalized
communication to their
prospects and customers.
In order to enforce an anti-spam policy, we have the following definition
for determining what constitutes "spam":
SPAM is an unsolicited commercial email, or an email
sent to a recipient who would not have a reasonable expectation of
receiving email from the sender.

Any email advertising illicit or illegal activities. |
|
|
Any message sent to email addresses which were not provided
by the recipient, including those collected from newsgroups,
web sites, and domain registration information. |

Email sent by an organization with whom the
recipient had previously established a relationship, PROVIDED
THAT the sender provides a mechanism for recipients
to remove themselves from the mailing list. This can include: |

Product support updates |
| |
|
Organizational news updates |
| |
|
New related product offerings |
|
In the event that Beza.net receives complaints regarding unsolicited
email from a Beza.net customer source, the customer will be required
to supply the external source of their customer data.
Beza.net encourages companies to respect their customers' time and attention
by controlling the frequency of mailings to individual email
addresses.
Regulations for eMS Users
The following are just a few ways Beza.net is ensuring list operators,
owners and/or adminstrators are adhering to strict guidelines and
policies establish by Beza.net to prevent
abuse:

License Agreement: Each mailing
list operator is required to agree to a strict license
agreement prior to being permitted to use Beza.net eMS services.
Failure to adhere to any of the terms of the agreement will result
in immediate account termination. |

Discolsure: List operators
must disclose to their subscribers the following:
- Why they are collecting user's email addresses,
- How they plan to use the email addresses, and
- Provide a privacy policy to protect subscribers.

|
Double OPT-IN:
List operators have agreed to communicate with subscribers
via an opt-in process
which means a confirmation e-mail will be sent to users to confirm
their subscription. |

|
Mandatory Unsubscribe Link: All
messages sent via Beza.net eMS will include an unsubscribe link
for recipients to remove their email addresses from the mailing
list
from which
the message was sent. The removal process is automated and is
effective immediately. |

|
Past Subscribers -
eMS will record each and every unsubscribe request in a 'do-not
email' list. eMS will deny adding any email addresses listed in
the do-not email
list. Only
past
subscribers
can select
to
subscribe
again via eMS
double opt-in verification process. |

Contact Information - Every
eMS email includes contact information of eMS sender. |

Monitoring eMS Activity: Beza.net
actively monitors all list imports and emails being sent to subscribers.
This ensures we are proactive rather then reactive to prevent
possible abuse of eMS services. |

Frequency: Beza.net encourages
list operators to respect their customers' time and attention
by controlling the frequency of mailings to individual email
addresses. All eMS operators are required to disclose a privacy
policy which includes how often a subscriber will receive email
communication. |

|
Account Termination for Abusers: Reports
of unsolicited email may result in the cancellation of a mailing
list account without a refund. Any customer found to be using
Beza.net eMail Marketing Solution (eMS) for sending spam, will
be immediately banned from use of eMS. |
