Setup Email in Apple Mail

Below are the step-by-step instructions to set up your BEZA.NET e-mail account in Apple Mail.

If you run into any issues, please restart Email Assistance or contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

STEP 1

Open Apple Mail.

STEP 2

If you have already set up an account in Apple Mail, click Mail > Add Account in the menu.

If you are using Apple Mail for the first time, you can skip this step 2.

STEP 3

In the Mail account provider window, choose the option Other Mail Account… and click Continue.

STEP 4

Enter the following information on theAdd a Mail account window:

Name: Enter your name (eg John Doe)

Email Address: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)

Password: enter your email password

STEP 5

  • Email Address: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)
    User Name: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)
    Password: enter your email password (and select Remember password)
  • Account Type: IMAP
  • Incoming Mail Server: enter your mail server host name
  • Outgoing Mail Server: enter your mail server host name

And click Sign In button.

STEP 6

Select the apps that you want to use with your mailbox and click Done.

STEP 7

In the Apple Mail menu bar, click Mail > Preferences

STEP 8

8a. Select Accounts and choose the newly added email account.

8b. Click on Server Settings.

8c. In the Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) section:

  • User Name: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)
  • Password: enter your email password (and select Remember password)
  • Host Name: enter your mail server host name
  • Uncheck the box Automatically manage connection settings.
  • IMAP Port: 993
  • Use TLS/SSL: Enabled
  • Authentication: Password

8d. In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) section:

  • User Name: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)
  • Password: enter your email password (and select Remember password)
  • Host Name: enter your mail server host name
  • Uncheck the box Automatically manage connection settings.
  • SMTP Port: 587
  • Use TLS/SSL: Enabled
  • Authentication: Password

8e. Click Save.

Congratulations, you have successfully setup your BEZA hosted email in Apple Mail!
