Setup Email in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Below are the step-by-step instructions to set up your BEZA.NET e-mail account in MS Outlook 2016. If you’re running an older version, please refer to our MS Outlook 2010 guide.
If you run into any issues, please restart Email Assistance or contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In Microsoft Outlook, select File from the main menu.
Click + Add Account button.
3a. Enter your email address (eg firstname.lastname@example.org)
3b. Click Advanced options and select Let me set up my account manually
3c: Click Connect
Select IMAP option.
5a: Incoming mail Server: enter your mail server host name
5b: Change Incoming mail Port to 143
5c: Change Incoming mail Encryption method to Auto
5d: Outgoing mail Server: enter your mail server host name
5e: Change Outgoing mail Port to 587
5f: Change Outgoing mail Encryption method to Auto
5g: Click Connect
Outlook is now configuring your new email account…
7a. Enter your email Password,
7b. Select Save this password in your password list option,
7c. Click OK
NOTE: Outlook will ask you for the password twice so please re-enter it when prompted.

Based on the email address your provided on the Email Setup Assistant, the following is a summery of the settings you’ll need to successfully setup your email:
Email Address: No email listed, restart Email Setup Assistant.
User Name: enter your email address (eg email@example.com).
Password: enter your email password.
Incoming Mail: enter your mail server host name
- Incoming mail server type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server Port: 143
- Incoming mail Encryption method: Auto
Outgoing mail server: enter your mail server host name
- Outgoing mail server type: SMTP
- Outgoing mail server Port: 587
- Outgoing mail Encryption method: Auto
