Setup Email in Outlook Online (formerly Hotmail)

Below are the step-by-step instructions to set up your BEZA.NET e-mail account in Microsoft Outlook Online (formerly Hotmail).

If you run into any issues, please restart Email Assistance or contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

STEP 1

Step 1: In Microsoft Outlook Online, select Gear icon  icon on the right-side.

STEP 2

Select View all Outlook settings.

STEP 3

Select Sync email under Mail options

STEP 4

Click on Other email accounts

STEP 5

5a. Display Name: Enter your name as you wish it to appear on email sent.

Email address: Enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us).

Password: Enter your email password.

5b. Select Create a new folder for imported email… option.

5c. Select Manually configure account settings… option.

STEP 6

6a. User Name: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)

Password: enter your email password

6b. Select Create a new folder… option (recommended)

6c. Select IMAP/SMTP connection settings option.

6d. Incoming (IMAP) server: enter your mail server host name

  • Incoming server port: 993
  • Authentication: Basic
  • Encryption: SSL
  • Select Send email using your provider’s server… option (recommended)

6e. Outgoing (SMTP) server: enter your mail server host name

  • Outgoing server port: 587

Congratulations, you have successfully setup your BEZA hosted email in Microsoft Outlook Online (formerly Hotmail)!

Based on the email address your provided on the Email Setup Assistant, the following is a summary of the settings you’ll need to successfully setup your email:

Email Address: No email listed, restart Email Setup Assistant.

Username: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)

Password: enter your email password

Select Create a new folder for imported email… option

Choose your connection type: IMAP/SMTP connection settings

Incoming (IMAP) Server: enter your mail server host name

  • Incoming server port: 993
  • Authentication: Basic
  • Encryption: SSL
  • Select Send email using your provider’s server… option

Outgoing (SMTP) Server: enter your mail server host name

  • Outgoing (SMTP) port: 587
