Setup Email on Samsung Phone (Android)

Below are the step-by-step instructions to set up your BEZA.NET e-mail account on a Samsung mobile device. Similar setup applies for any other Android device.

If you run into any issues, please restart Email Assistance or contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

STEP 1

From the Home screen on your Samsung (or Android) device, click on Email.

STEP 2

2. Click on Add New Account.

STEP 3

3a. Enter your Email Address and Email Password,

3b. Select Manual Setup.

STEP 4

Select IMAP account.

STEP 5

Complete all fields like so:

Name: Enter your name (eg John Doe)

Email Address:
enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)

User name: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us)

Password: enter your email password

STEP 6

Complete INCOMING SERVER section with the following:

IMAP server: enter your mail server host name
Security Type: TLS
Port: 143

STEP 7

7a. Complete OUTGOING Mail Server section with the following:

SMTP server: enter your mail server host name
Security type: TLS
Port: 587
Authentication required before sending emails: Enabled (Yes)
User Name: enter your email address
Password: enter your email password

7b. Click Next.

STEP 8

Your phone will now verify the information entered with the Mail Server. If verification FAILS, please verify you’ve entered the information correctly:

IMAP server: enter your mail server host name
Security type: TLS
Port: 143

SMTP server: enter your mail server host name
Security type: TLS
Port: 587
Authentication required before sending email: YES
User Name: enter your email address
Password: enter your email password

STEP 9

Once the verification process is complete, click Next.

Congratulations, you have successfully setup your BEZA hosted email on your Samsung device!

Based on the email address your provided on the Email Setup Assistant, the following is a summary of the settings you’ll need to successfully setup your email:

Email Address: No email listed, restart Email Setup Assistant.

User Name: enter your email address (eg john.doe@your-domain.us).

Password: enter your email password.

Incoming Mail: enter your mail server host name

  • Incoming mail server type: IMAP
  • Incoming mail server Port: 143
  • Incoming mail security type: TLS

Outgoing mail server: enter your mail server host name

  • Outgoing mail server type: SMTP
  • Outgoing mail server Port: 587
  • Outgoing mail security type: TLS
  • Authentication required before sending emails: Yes (enabled)
