Support the Victims of Hurricane Irma
We extend our sympathy and support to all affected by Hurricane Irma. Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 hurricane, struck the Caribbean Islands and Florida with devastating winds and destruction on Sep 06, 2017. It’s during times like these when we most need to join together and support each other. As such, we’ve made and will continue to make contributions to relief agencies on the ground who are making a difference. The vicitims of Hurricane Irma will need all of our support for years as they try to rebuild and resume normal life.

The above natural-color images, captured by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) show some of Irma’s effect on the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. Lush green tropical vegetation (as seen on the Before photo above on August 25th) can be ripped away by a storm’s strong winds, leaving the satellite with a view of more bare ground (as seen on the After photo above on September 10th).
